Walt Disney World, Cast Member Union Agree to $18 Pay Deal: The union representing Walt Disney World cast members has reached a deal with Disney that will give workers an $18 minimum wage this year. Union cast members will get retroactive pay raises plus other family leave benefits as well.
Let's Get Real - Disney Reportedly Dumps Its Metaverse Play: The Walt Disney Company has reportedly shelved its metaverse unit, as Disney goes through its first round of announced layoffs. About 7,000 positions in total are slated for elimination across the company by the summer, though frontline park operations are not expected to be affected.
