What's New in Theme Parks This Week
One new theme park is having a real tough time, while a fictional park finds a new home. Also, a new coaster debuts in Colorado, while an old one goes away in Pennsylvania.
Iowa's Lost Island Theme Park Faces a Rough Start: Just because you build it, does not guarantee that they will come to see it. That's been the hard lesson learned again from the first weeks of operation at Iowa's new Lost Island Theme Park.
A New 'Theme Park' Is Coming to Universal Studios Hollywood: Okay, Universal's original park is not getting another gate. But it is getting another attraction themed to, well, a theme park. It's the new “Jupiter’s Claim” theme park set from the upcoming Jordan Peele film, "Nope," and it is coming to the Studio Tour.
Just opened: Defiance at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park. It’s the highest Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter roller coaster anywhere, thanks to the altitude at the Colorado mountaintop amusement park.
We've also got a couple of updates this week from Hersheypark. You lose some, you get some, I guess:
Ever lose your car in the Disney parking lot? If so, you might be happy to hear that Help Is Coming for Some Lost Disney Fans.
Wrapping our coverage of the Disney Wish media preview, we ask, Can Disney Unlock the Key to The Bahamas? and share Where to Eat and Drink on Disney's New Cruise Ship. And, by the way, What Is Disney Thinking With Star Wars Hyperspace Lounge?
If you want the full picture of everything we experienced - and what we thought about it - check out our Full coverage of the Disney Wish.
