Universal's New Worlds
Universal's Super Mario land soft-opens in Hollywood while the company announces expansion plans in Texas and Las Vegas. Plus, Mission: Ferrari debuts.
Super Nintendo World
Super Nintendo World Soft Opens in Hollywood: Theme park fans in the U.S. got their first in-person look at Universal’s Super Mario-themed land when Super Nintendo World soft-opened to all guests at Universal Studios Hollywood.
I was there in the first wave of guests to enter the land, to the applause of waiting park and Universal Creative team members, eager to show off their work.
We have three posts for you about the new land, starting with my thoughts about the new Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge augmented-reality dark ride and a video walk-through the land and the Mario Kart queue.
Having Lunch at Universal's Toadstool Cafe: There’s lots of yummy (and photo-worthy) food on the menu at the new Toadstool Cafe inside Universal Studios Hollywood's Super Nintendo World. Watch what I had for lunch and see what else is available.
Having Fun With Real-Life Gameplay in Super Nintendo World: Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge might be the headline ride in Universal Studios Hollywood's new Super Nintendo World, but the land itself plays like a practical game-based attraction. Watch me play the games and face off against Bowser Jr. for the Golden Mushroom.
