The other shoe finally dropped in Japan, where Universal has announced the end of its Marvel license in Osaka. That story leads a busy week for theme parks, with four new roller coaster openings since I last wrote to you.

This Week's Coaster Openings (and Videos!)
Catch a Wave on SeaWorld's Next-Gen Stand-Up Coaster: SeaWorld Orlando’s new Pipeline The Surf Coaster feels like what I imagine surfing the waves might feel like if someone strapped me up on a board and made it impossible for me to fall. Dolly Parton Opens Dollywood's New Family Coaster: Watch the video as Dolly herself sings open the park's single-biggest attraction investment, the Big Bear Mountain roller coaster in Wildwood Grove.
Intamin's New Batman Coaster Debuts in Spain: Batman Gotham City Escape at Parque Warner Madrid is another Intamin multi-launch coaster, following Toutatis at Parc Astérix, last year's Pantheon at Busch Gardens Williamsburg and the queen herself, Jurassic World VelociCoaster in 2021 at Universal Orlando's Islands of Adventure.
Experience Jumanji, With a Twist: Mandrill Mayhem's in-line twist might be a perfect introduction to going upside down for the young fans who visit Chessington World of Adventures.
