Welcome October - the month that brought us both Walt Disney World and yours truly. New attraction announcements dominated the news this week, though we will start with a dive into the latest from the Disney Vacation Club, including its big new tower at the Disneyland Resort in California.

Check out Disney's wild new idea for a thrill ride system: Imagine a theme park ride where your ride vehicle goes along one path, only to be picked up by a robot arm and then plunked down on another. That's just one of several interesting patent applications filed by Disney this week.
