Calling all readers
I love writing about theme parks. I especially love writing for people who love reading.
For a while now, Substack has offered you the opportunity to pledge financial support to Theme Park Insider. I have not required that, and I will continue to offer the weekend newsletter for free to all interested subscribers. But starting next week, I will turn on the paid subscriber option for people who want to pledge support for my work at Theme Park Insider.
The voluntary subscription price will be just $5 a month, or $50 a year. Once 100 people have opted in to subscribe, I will start writing an additional monthly column just for those subscribers, to be delivered on the first Wednesday of each month.
Once 500 people have opted in, that exclusive column will appear weekly, on every Wednesday.
If you want an idea of what to expect from this new column, I write a weekly column for the Orange County Register newspaper here in Southern California. My newsletter column will be similar, but more detailed and in-depth for this audience of theme park fans and industry insiders, in contrast the Register’s general newspaper audience.
To subscribe to this new column, please click here and select your payment plan.
I started working at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom when I was a college student and have covered theme parks and themed entertainment industry as a reporter for more than two decades. Along the way, I have earned an Online Journalism Award from the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism and have been named a finalist and an honoree in the Webby Awards. I appear frequently in major news publications and broadcasts around the world as an expert on theme parks. I have worked hard to develop the resources and skills to reward my readers with insight.
I deeply appreciate your support for my work through your readership. If you want to take the additional step of becoming a financial supporter, here is the link to sign up: https://themeparkinsider.substack.com/subscribe
Please forward this email to any friends or colleagues whom you think might want to support my work, as well.
Thank you for reading,
Robert Niles
